The Return of Gods Glory By David Scoffins What is the Glory? Gods Glory is His Nature . Gods is a Spirit. To be seen in the natural, earthly realm God must make Himself perceptible to the natural senses. He must coming in a form which man can Feel, Touch, See, Smell or taste. Can God be Percieved with the natural senses? 1Jo 1:5 Tells us "That God is light, and in him is no darkness at all". Light and Glory are one and the same. Light can be Seen and felt in the form of Heat. The Glory of God can be Felt as Heat and seen as light. God in the Old Testament was seen as a Cloud of Glory. 2 Chronicles 5:11-14 11 And it happened as the priests came out of the holy place, for all the priests present were sanctified, and did not wait by division. 12 And the Levitical singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brothers, being clothed in white linen, having cymbals and with harps and lyres, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets, 13 and they were as one to the trumpeters and to the singers, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and as they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For He is good, for His mercy endures forever, the house was filled with a cloud, the house of the LORD, 14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God! Where is Gods Glory Today? 1Corinthians 6:19 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own, 20 for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. Glorify God in Your Body means Allow Gods Glory to manifest through You ! Glorify in Greek Means 'To render, make or Show Glorious' God wants His Temple, Your Body, to show His Glory to the World. When will Gods Glory Return? Psalm 102:13-16 13 You shall arise, and have mercy on Zion; for the time to Favour her, yes, the set time, has come. 14 For Your servants take pleasure in its stones, and pity its dust. 15 So the nations shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. 16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory. 17 He will turn to the prayer of the forsaken and not despise their prayer. 18 This shall be written for the generation to come; and the people who shall be created shall praise the LORD. Zion is not a mountain in Jerusalem, Zion is Gods redeemed people. Verse 13 says 'There is a time Set to Favour Zion'. Verse 18 tells us that 'This is written for a generation to come' The Original Hebrew says 'This is written for the last Generation'. We are I believe the people that this verse is written for. What will This Glory Outpouring be Like? Haggai 2:9 9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. What will the Glory of the Latter House be greater then? Present Truth believers except that this referees to the early Church. Greater then the early Church? Yes Greater even then the early Church! What will release this Glory? John 7:37-39 37 And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." 39 (But He spoke this about the Spirit, which they who believed on Him should receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.) Jesus was speaking at the Feast of Tabernacles, The Feast of Tabernacles was the Hebrew Harvest festival, and represents prophetically, The harvest at the end of the age, the Last Day out pouring! Colossians 1:27 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Christ means not Just Jesus, Christ is not a name, it is a tittle meaning 'Anointed'. The anointing is the Glory, its in you! Read to come out. God is not going to pour out His Glory from Heaven, He has poured all His glory into the New Creation. He as non left to pour out! When will this happen? Hosea 6:1-3 1 ¶ Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. 3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. Two Days according to Peter represent 2,000 years. Third day = The 3rd thousand years. Prophetically we are living in the third day! When Hosea prophesied that God would send the Latter rain! For 2,000 years the Church as experienced A reviving,(Revivals). But He promises that in the 3rd day we will be 'Raised Up', in Hebrew this means 'Established', 'To Remain', 'To succeed'. In other words we have had revivals which have all come and gone, but this End Time outpouring, will last. All Revivals in the passed, have gone, but will see the Church Established in it, this time the Church will not lose the fire, it will remain.
 
Many Christians don't know who they are in Christ, They don't know there rights and privileges. They see themselves as servants of God, and not Sons You can even know about your rights, as a believer, rights to healing and prosperity, rights that allow you to successfully minister to others, but still fail to see Gods power displayed in there lives. Being a servant of God, does bring its rewards!! Listen to the following Scriptures: Psalm 34:22 "The LORD redeems the soul of His servants; and none of them who trust in Him shall be guilty." Psalm 35:27 "Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favour my righteous cause; And let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." Job 36:11 "If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures". Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD. Did you notice that all these great promises to Gods servants where old Covenant promises? But we are New Covenant believers! What were promises to the Old Testament saints, are provisions to New Covenant believers. Hebrews 8:6 says " But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. No Longer Servent! We are no longer servants, we are sons the Prodigal son went to his father, and asked him "Can I be one of Your hired Servants". The father replied that "He could not, because He was already His son". Most Christians today are like the prodigal son, wanting to be a servant when they are in reality a son, with all the rights that sonship brings. What people do makes them servants, but sonship is based on relationship. Our position in the body of Christ, makes us Sons Of God. We are part of Gods Family. It's Not What You do, But Who You Are Servanthood is based on what servant Does. Sonship is based on who you are on Covenant relationship. Your Gods Offspring. Part of His Family. John 1:12 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: Vers 13 "who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. You are Gods Offspring, A member of His Family. This ought to be more real to us than our earthly parents. Jesus Himself said of us in John 15:15 "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you" Your No Longer A Slave Gal 4:1-7 1 But I say, Over so long a time the heir is an infant, he does not differ from a slave, though being lord of all; 2 but he is under guardians and house-masters until the term appointed before by the father. 3 Even so we, when we were infants, were in bondage under the elements of the world. 4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, coming into being out of a woman, having come under Law, 5 that He might redeem those under Law, so that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 So that you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ. Paul hears says that A Son is Lord of All, but we may say that this is referring to Jesus, who is "King of Kings and Lord of All". Jesus Reigns now! Through Us However it is not taking about Jesus, its talking about any son, Jesus exorcises His lordship, through us, His children. Romans 8:17 tells us that "If we are Gods children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together" Yes we may have to suffer with Him, but that is so that we can be glorified, but we suffer as Children, not as servants. 1 John 3:1-3 Behold what manner of love the Father has given us, that we should be called Sons of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are Sons of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know that when He shall be revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope on him purifies himself, even as that One is pure. When men call us names it may not mean any thing, But when God calls us something it Means everything. "Behold what manner of love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God" God calls you His son! Verse 2 Goes on to say "Beloved, now we are Sons of God". Its not something which happens when you Die and go to Heaven! God Says your His Child, right here, right now. Sonship does not apply to men only, because Galatians 3:28 tells us that "In Christ there is neither male or female". When He Appears WE Will Be Like Him Also in verse 2 it says that "when He shall be revealed, we shall be like Him". I don't believe that this is just referring to the Second Coming of Christ. This statement can also refer to when Jesus Christ, shows up today, moving in power. I want to see the Power of God revealed in me as it was in Jesus. Verse 3 says that "everyone who has this hope on him purifies himself, even as that One is pure" What is your Destiny? Our Destiny is to be conformed to the image of Christ. This should motivate us to live holy lives, not of duty, as servants, but because we want to please our heavenly Father. Servants do what they do because they are servants, its there duty, they have to do it. We should live right because of who we are! Gods sons. 1 John 4:17 In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, that as He is, so also we are in this world. Sonship is Knowing Who You Are! Sonship means, knowing who you are in Christ! It means that we are just like Jesus! Not as Jesus was when He walk the earth, but as He is now! The Jesus we read about in the Gospels was great, but as great as He was, it is nothing to be compared to what he is Now! The Risen and Resurrected Glorified Son Of God. He went to His father, and is even now seated at Gods right hand, having all power and all authority! But John says "As He is, so also we are in this world.
